In a society that is not generally inclined to acknowledge or make space for our grief, often bring to shut it down, rush the process or avoid it all together, how many of us were actually taught how to navigate our way through?
If this life, grief has been my biggest teacher, longtime companion and now, even a wise friend that I sometimes invite over for tea to sit with and listen to what it has to share with me.
There is so much to grieve, both collectively and personally...and so much need for care.
I put this workshop together to discuss several supportive herbs that can hold us through times of deep grief, as well as some simple (and practical) herbal practices that can be returned to time and time again when our heavy hearts need a container for support, release, relief and levity.
I just taught this month's Herbalamory class on Hawthorn and our cohort had such rich discussion around grief. I look forward to continue expanding the web of herbal care we started to weave during our time together.
