Pleased to present our very first online class offering, Herbalamory: cultivating generative relationships with medicinal & magical plants.
The What:
A deep dive monthly series on partnering with plants for the wellbeing of ourselves, our communities and the earth. Because if ever there was a time to lean into a nourishing container of care to sustain us, this is certainly it.
What it's not:
Due to the focus of this series, we will not be going over extensive herbal medicine making training. (for a more foundational year long in person intensive with a focus of hands on learning, please check out Herbalism Through the Wheel of the Year).
For Who:
This course is open to all, brand new beginners to seasoned herb lovers alike. Some knowledge of basic herbal preparations are helpful, but not necessary (we'll provide recipes throughout).
Let's dive into the details:
Before each class you'll receive a bundle featuring the herb of the month and a variety of relevant small batch herbal goods which could include one or two of the following: teas, tinctures, glycerites, infused oils, salves, flower essences, incense, elixirs or amulets in addition to the bulk herb. Participants will also receive a 15% off discount code for any desired additional bulk herb or tincture corresponding to the plant for each month.
Each class will be it's own deep dive introduction to the featured herb of the month, where we will welcome a meet and greet for every new plant, nerd out on their herbal actions, energetics, system affinities, cultural connections, live tours in the garden to help with identification, what they need to thrive, folklore and share stories of wisdom from the plants found in our gardens, meadows, at the edge of the woods and random parking lots alike. Each month Reede will share a variety of corresponding medicinal and magical recipes, rituals, full sensory explorations and practices to incorporate into your life while getting to know each new plant friend, some fun seasonal witchy herb crafting projects and more ideas as the plants inspire it!
Food for thought:
Homework will be not required, however sharing stories of your experiences or written reflections within the group will certainly be welcomed! The class is limited to 13 herb lovers per session, and what each of us brings to class is a part of the magic. Things come up and sometimes folks will need to miss a session, so my ask is to take your capacity into consideration before making the commitment to register. Since this course is about fostering relationships the time/energy/heart you put into your practices will greatly inform what you get out it. That being said, as a disabled human/parent/small business owner, I know all too well how meaningful it is to be in containers of care where we have the spaciousness to care for ourselves as needed. Information sharing portions of each class will be recorded and sent to participants who may need to miss a class for any reason.
Dates & Fees:
The first 6 month session runs from March-August and rolls into the second session from September-February. Held on zoom, Friday mornings 11am-1pm EST/8am-10amPST. You are welcome to take one session, just the second one or both!
Session 1:
March 14 - yarrow (protect)
April 18 - nettle (nourish)
May 16 - violet (soothe)
June 13- motherwort (nurture)
July 18 - lemon balm (turn the volume down)
August 15- tulsi (adapt)
Session 2:
Sep 19 - passionflower (well rested & resourced)
Oct 17 - mugwort (dream)
Nov 14 - hawthorn (grieve)
Dec 12 - calendula (heal)
Jan 16, 2025 - dandelion (restore)
Feb 13, 2025 - rose (boundaried love)
The cost of each 6 month session is $240. Sign up for either session or register for both sessions at the same time for a discounted rate of $450 for the whole year.
Payment plans are available as needed. Here's the breakdown:
Payment plan for one session: ½ due at registration ($120) before class starts, and an invoice for $40 will be sent out monthly due by the 1st, 2nd, 3rd class.
Payment plan for both sessions: ½ due ($225) at registration before class starts, and an invoice for $75 will be sent out monthly due by the 1st, 2nd, 3rd class.
I offer sliding scale pricing on all my classes, however I have not yet figured out a streamlined online registration process, so these are the base rate fees listed here. If you are someone who can not afford the base rate with the payment plan option *or* if you are someone with abundance to share, please reach out and we can work together on a class fee that fits right sized for you as an individual.
